John Southgate has been working in the fields of psychoanalysis, group dynamics, and political analysis since the 1960's. Lacan was an early influence, but from the 1980's, he was supervised by John Bowlby. John Southgate is the founder the Centre for Attachment-based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in London. He has now returned to his roots as a Lacanian Attachment Analyst. John is a jazz pianist and plays with Jazzindo which, as the name suggests, plays a fusion of jazz and Indian classical music.
