lacanian attachment analysts

The Manifesto

From Lacan we have to learn not to set up bureaucratic organisations
which inevitably produce the destructive group dynamics
with all its committees and procedures
by "the ones who are supposed to know"
We also need the Real, Imaginary and Symbolic regions
that Lacan uniquely explored, and, most importantly
that the signifiers of traditional psychoanalysis
like Transference, Counter-Transference, Innate Greed and Envy
do not cure people but the goal is to help the
analysand to discover their unique subjectivity
only the anlysand knows
her or his Desires, Wants, Needs, and Demands
and that there should be no difference
between a training therapy and any other kind
and that in the Cartels should be persons
interested in art, science, music, dance philosophy politics films or whatever!

From Bowlby we have to learn to respect research
based upon discourse, speech, (which is in fact very Lacanian!)
and the much under publicised Mary Ainsworth
who invented the strange situation tests
and those who followed
carefully correlating the observed interaction at one year old
with discourse many years later on.
Dan Stern, Mary Main and
Carol George giving the rightful place of the Caregiving system
which can survive creatively
in some of the most ritually abused of us.

What needs to be unique about Lacanian Attachment Analysts
is that we are not setting up a prearranged ideology and system
but a set tools for people to examine the inner and outer worlds.

For our model of creative fighting
we have drawn upon Nelson Mandella, Bishop Tutu and Ho Chi Min
and Subcomandante Marcos of Mexico whose slogan
is Our words are our weapons

And in the big world outside ourselves
is poverty, alienation starvation and murder,
along with love and caring,
and policies that could eventually destroy the Earth
and the very foundations of life.

We have described three main socio-historical and economic cultures
The pre-Modern of religious based cultures
The Modern global capitalism
and the Post-modern which we hope
can become Post-modern Materialism
where we protect our inheritance
environmentally, erotically, and emotionally.
