The term
integration has disappeared from dialogue about race relations,
to be replaced by the desire to value diversity and celebrate a
multicultural world.
We would
like to replace the idea of integration as a desirable goal in the
internal world with an approach which values internal diversity
and multiplicity.
We call
the process by which this is achieved - multigration.
We apply
the word multigration to our clinical work and our theoretical understanding.
