A brief commentary from Lacanian
Attachment Analysts.
As we type up the above for the site, it is possible that within a week
from now Bush/Blair will lead an attack upon Iraq. From our viewpoint
it is destructive fighting, the goal being to dismember rather than disarm
Sadam Hussein and his supporters. In addition it is also what we have
called the tribal dynamics of organizations, whereby some of the 'international
tribes',
i.e. US, UK et al are attacking the actual tribal systems in Iraq. Creative
fighting is left at present to France Germany et al and UN and to concerned
people throughout the world, as the polls and demonstrations indicate.
Elizabeth London made an interesting comment about Monbiot¹s article
in that, in the Lacanian sense he has coined a new signifier i.e. finity
being the opposite of infinity, The world like our own lives cannot and
does not go beyond certain ecological limits indefinitely. |
