Associate Members of Lacanian Attachment Analysts.
We will invite persons who have done an experiential workshop with us
and who
have learned how to make a 'Lacanian
finish'
to a session. The method is to
encourage the analysand to free-associate
and end the session on some significant
self interpretation.
The goal is to help the analysand by asking questions, to find her or
his unique Needs, Wants, Demands, and Desires.
We do not want to form an organisation with all the 'tribal
dynamics'
that inevitably
follow. We also do not want to 'police'
associates. Therefore,
Associates should already be a member of an organisation which
has a complaints procedure such as in Psychotherapy, Counselling, Art
Therapy, Psychoanalysis, Psychiatry, social and community work. Or where
personal insurance regarding complaints has been arranged.
There would be periodic meetings and conferences.
On the site would be a list of Associates and their addresses so that
members of the public who want to find such a therapist can contact
them in their own area.
